How to make automatic backup in Google Photos
Google offers the possibility of being able save to your cloud for free the photos you take with your phone, something you may not know or were unclear about how to configure. To set up your phone and establish automatic synchronization with Google Photos you have two ways:
- If you've never opened Google Photos on your phone, go to the phone menu and launch the app.
- Upon entering you will see a message for the first time titled "Create backup and sync."
- Activate this function by sliding the button to the right.
- If you have more than one Gmail account, click on the one that appears. That will display all the emails that you have registered on your phone and you will be able to choose which one you want to make the copies with.
- You can change the upload quality of photos in "Change settings", choosing between High quality (which gives you free unlimited storage) or Original (in which case it uses the storage you have associated with your account).
- You can also decide when to make copies security: if only when your phone is on a network Wi-Fi (we recommend it, so as not to consume so much data) or indifferently, thus also making use of mobile data.

- Enter the Google Photos app.
- Click on the symbol of three lines in the upper left corner (within the search box itself, yes).

- Slide the gray button that appears next to “Back up and sync”.

Be careful because in this menu you can also set up something that is not offered on the home screen: if you want to make backup copies of additional specific folders such as WhatsApp or the screenshots (Screenshot), and if you want a backup to be created in roaming.
