Recommendations when creating a Poképarada
If you are lucky enough to have entered the beta program (you know, you must be level 40 trainer), you should have the option available within the application settings. You must bear in mind that for a Pokéstop to be valid, it must meet a series of requirements that are indicated on the official Pokémon Go website:
Favorable characteristics for your proposal to be accepted:
- A location with a remarkable history, a place with historical or educational value
- An interesting work or a unique type of architecture (statues, paintings, mosaics, lighting installations, etc.)
- A hidden gem or little known place
- Public parks
- Public libraries
- Public places of worship
- Large transportation terminals (such as New York's Grand Central Terminal)
Places to avoid when proposing a PokéStop
- Places without safe pedestrian access. All proposed PokéStops must have pedestrian access. Otherwise, they will be rejected regardless of their quality.
- Private residences and adjoining private residential-type properties.
- Locations that interfere with the proper functioning of fire stations, police or hospitals.
- Places located on the grounds of children's centers or primary or secondary schools.
- Elements of nature such as landscapes, mountains, waterfalls (although man-made points of interest to indicate these elements of nature are great, such as informative plaques or posters).
- Objects that are not permanent (such as temporary exhibitions).
- Adult stores or services (such as liquor stores, adult entertainment, shooting ranges, firearms stores, etc.).
How to create a PokéStop
Taking these factors into account, you can continue with the operation of adding a new Pokéstop that you will find in the settings menu:
- Click on New PokéStop

- Place the orange dot in the area of the map where you want to establish the PokéStop (it must coincide with the point of interest you want to associate). Keep in mind that if there are PokéStops that are too close, your proposal may not be accepted.

- Confirm the selection and take a photo of the object or place that represents your proposal.

- Take a second photo that shows the area from a different perspective, so someone who doesn't know it can recognize it once they're in the area.

- Add a title and description. You must use a descriptive title, if possible the official name of the place or monument. Do not make up names or they will reject the proposal.
- Accept the proposal, review the preview of how it will look and click on the send button.
Now all that's left is for the community users to review your proposal and accept your PokéStop. If the community accepts it, the rest of the trainers will be able to visit it as soon as it is published.
