It's not the norm, but you may have experienced wanting to download an app that was available on the App Store but, for some reason, was removed . Well, in these cases, there's a little trick you can use to force things back. You must meet certain requirements , but if you do, you'll likely be able to access the app again. We'll explain how.
How to download an app removed from the App Store
The folks at Gizmodo have tipped us off to this trick that you too can use on your iPhone if you want to access an app that's no longer available on the App Store. Sometimes, whether by Apple's decision or the developer's—the latter being what recently happened with the Infinity Blade games, for example—some titles are removed from the app store , leaving iOS users unable to enjoy them again.
But there's a way around this: a trick that lets you easily access those phantom titles. However, it's essential that you previously downloaded the app using the same account (ID) you're currently using. That will be the key that allows you to track down the application and download it again, even though it's no longer visible.
These are the steps to follow :
- Go to the app from the App Store and enter it.
- Click on the section «Updates» -It is the fourth, starting from the left, of the accesses that you have at the bottom of the screen.
- Click on the icon of your profile -the blue one with a silhouette that appears in the right corner.
- Enter the "Purchased" section.
- Click on «My shopping«.
- There you will be able to see a history of all the applications that you have bought with your account over time and even those that you have downloaded on other iOS devices with the same ID (such as another iPhone that you previously had).
- You can browse through them or use the browser to search for that app that you once bought and is no longer in the App Store.
- When you find him alone click on the download cloud and install it.

Keep in mind one important thing : if the app has been removed from the App Store, you'll likely soon encounter a lack of support from the developer. You also won't receive updates, so the app might eventually become less responsive, incompatible with future iOS versions, or simply no longer offer the same user experience it once did.
Even with this, it's still a good trick to recover an app that you think is still worth using... even if Apple or its developers think otherwise.
