How to make a backup of your Facebook content
Mark Zuckerberg's platform has numerous options in its settings that many people are unaware of. Among them is the ability to download your entire Facebook history, creating a kind of backup of all the information you've uploaded to the service. Without realizing it, you may have been registered on Facebook for quite a few years, building a vast network of content that you can now save by following just a few simple steps.
Facebook allows you to download a copy of your account information, allowing you to access absolutely everything you have uploaded or select only the types of data and date ranges that interest you. The information you receive will be either in HTML format (which makes it easy to read) or in JSON format (a light text format that makes it easy to import through another service), again the choice is in your hands.
These are the steps you need to follow to proceed with the download:
- Sign in www.facebook.com and click on the arrow in the upper right corner - the one that gives access to the menu of pages, groups and settings, among other options.
- Click on “Settings”.
- In the left sidebar, go to the third option: “Your Facebook information”. Click on her.
- Mouse over the second box “Download your information”. A new page will load.
- You now have access to the download panel. By default, all the options are checked (photos and videos, comments, friends, messages, etc.).
- if you want everything, click on the blue Create file button. A message will appear notifying you that it is in process and that you will be notified when it is ready.
