The first generation of the WH-1000X headphones was a huge success at the time. Sony He knew how to launch circumaural headphones on the market -this is what headphones of this type are technically called- with an attractive design, comfortable and with very good noise cancellation. A year later he redefined the formula with a second generation that added minor tweaks and a new type of finish.
Now it's the turn of the third version, WH-1000XM3, which confirms something we already knew: launching this model was one of the best ideas of the brand. We are going to tell you better what it feels like with them in a simple and very graphic way.
Test and opinion of the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones
· In the box comes a beautiful transport case.
It is somewhat bulky for my taste but perfect for storing and protecting helmets that fold up to be collected and take up less space. Inside you have room to carry (your cable) if you want and on the outside it shows off a rack to store any other accessory.

· The headphones only have two control/action buttons and the charging port.
I like that they are that simple so as not to get confused when it comes to fumbling to control their functions.

Compatible with gestures, thanks to its touch sensor, with which the main actions are carried out.
Raise the volume, skip the track... are done by sliding your finger up or moving it back and forth, respectively. The response is very good and you get used to it quickly. Do you want to answer a call? You knock twice. Only in the case of using Google Assistant do you have to hold down the Noise Canceling button.

With a touch of a button you turn it on and if you hold it down it pairs.
Quick, easy and for the whole family. Although you can also use its NFC support to pair with a phone just by touching them.

They sound great but the noise cancellation is what will definitely make you fall in love with these headphones.
They have a processor in charge precisely of improving the Noise Canceling function to clean (believe me, a lot) of outside noise. In addition, if you travel by plane frequently, they will become your new best friend, thanks to the optimization of atmospheric pressure, which helps make their use on flights more pleasant and comfortable. You're going to notice.

These Sony WH-1000XM3 They have a feature that has become quite popular over time, but I still can't get used to it.
This is the Quick Attention mode, which allows you to have a conversation with someone by touching the right earphone (which makes the volume go down). It works pretty well, but I still have the reflex to take them off when someone talks to me instead of doing this gesture.

The headphones have an application that is much more useful than you think and that you must install on your phone.
In general, these types of apps contribute little, but Sony Headphones Connect lets you manipulate many functions such as Ambient Sound Control, with which you decide, depending on the situation (walking, stopped, traveling), how much ambient sound you want to hear or if you prefer total suppression. You can also choose the type of surround sound you want to enjoy, adjust the equalizer or set when the headphones automatically turn off when not in use.

Regarding autonomy, it is quite good.
The headphones boast 30 hours of autonomy and fast charging. Quantifying that is complicated, but I can confirm that I have lasted several plane flights with Noise Canceling activated without needing to charge them. The improvement compared to previous generations is noticeable and they have fast charging so you can use them again for a long time in no time.

Do we recommend your purchase? Definitely, yes - the beige ones, by the way, win a lot live.
They are expensive (we are talking about an official price of 380 euros), but you will probably feel that you have made a good investment. Pay attention because it usually has a discount from time to time in some dealers.
