The biggest problem with many modern electric mops is their maintenance. If you don't clean the filter properly, bacteria thrive and the appliance ends up smelling worse than what you were trying to clean. Dyson was well aware of this and has taken a drastic step: eliminating air suction and opting for mechanical mopping with a PencilWash that doesn't have a filter.
In this way, the team uses a system instead of hydration of 8 points which constantly wets the roller with clean water, while another mechanism extracts the dirty water with each rotation, thus eliminating the risk of mold. The roller is also made of high-density microfiber (64.000 filaments per cm²), designed to make the floor dry almost instantly.
