Anker has been launching high-capacity portable batteries and portable charging stations for several years, but the latest they have presented in this regard we did not expect at all. Is about a portable refrigerator, a refrigerator available in various capacities that will allow you to take cold drinks and perfectly refrigerated food wherever you want.
chilling hell
The new Anchor EverFrost is a refrigerator on wheels that has a 299Wh battery with which to give life to the compressor that is included inside. This allows you to reach temperatures that are maintained in the 4 degrees for a total time of 42 hours, so you could have drinks for almost two full days. Thanks to its refrigeration system, the refrigerator you won't need ice to cool like traditional portable coolers, so we can make the most of the internal cavity.
Available in 33, 43 and 53 liter versions, in it you can store 38, 54 or 62 cans of soft drink respectively, the largest (53 liters) being the only one that includes a refrigeration section and a separate freezing section .
Cold drinks in half an hour
Its efficiency when it comes to cooling drinks is quite surprising, since, according to the manufacturer's data, EverFrost is capable of cooling its container and leave it at 0 degrees in just 30 minutes. Thus, you can start to cool your drinks quite quickly, and that in the morning you have them ready for lunch.
A multipurpose fridge
As expected, taking into account the possibilities of carrying a battery of these dimensions, the product offers extra functions with which to continue taking advantage of the battery. And it is that I know include USB ports and charging plug so that we can recharge phones, laptops and any other electronic device in places where we do not have electricity.
In addition, the connectivity functions could not be missing either, since thanks to its Bluetooth connection, we will be able to know at all times the internal temperature of the container and the remaining battery that we have left.
What uses can this portable refrigerator have?
Obviously the first examples that come to mind are those of using the device on the beach or in the countryside to enjoy a few days outdoors with perfectly refrigerated food and drinks. It can also be given professional uses, such as in the medical sector, where they need to transport materials at low temperatures.
In short, it seems to us a much more interesting product than it might seem, although we would have to know some key details such as its weight (the battery must be quite heavy), mobility, ease of transport and durability.
How much does it cost?
At the moment the EverFrost does not have an official price, since it will be officially presented with all the details in a Kickstarter campaign which will begin on March 23. If you book one in advance, you can get 45% discounts, which in the best case would be a discount of 554 euros, so we imagine that the largest 53-liter model will have an approximate price of 1.200 euros.
