DJI's entry into the connected home segment materializes with ROMO, a new series of robot vacuum cleaners with a mopping function designed for the European and Spanish markets. Thanks to the accumulated experience in aerial navigation, these devices focus on precise obstacle detection and avoidance inside the home.
The family consists of three versions (ROMO S, A, and P) and comes with a self-cleaning base, intelligent cleaning modes, and control from the DJI Home app. All of this is combined with high suction and a route planning system that searches for homogeneous coverage without jams or detours.
Advanced detection and smarter routes

ROMO integrates dual fisheye vision sensors along with a wide-angle dual-emitter solid-state LiDAR, a set that, supported by machine learning, allows recognize thin cables, letters or socks and avoid them precisely. This combination of inputs creates a rich map of the environment that favors movement under furniture and in low light conditions.
Based on this spatial perception, the algorithms—inherited from the mapping and navigation of the brand's drones—devise optimized cleaning routes. The robot approaches table legs, baseboards, and corners to get the best cleaning results, while adjusting its speed and side brush when it detects loose debris, reducing the spread of dust and improving efficiency per pass.
In specifications, the series claims up to 25.000 pascals of suction and 20 liters of airflow per second. The roller brushes, driven by two high-torque motors, channel debris into a hollow core to prevent tangling and facilitate collection. long hair and large particles.
Extendable arms and adjustable flow scrubbing
One of ROMO's new features is its dual flexible arms that extend and retract in real time. Guided by mapping and edge algorithms, they can reach deep into corners, along uneven walls, or under appliances, always sweeping before mopping to ensure optimal performance. do not drag dirt.
The 164 ml tank keeps the mops moist and adjusts the flow rate according to the level of dirt. The ROMO P model includes a deodorant compartment that can be dispensed onto the cloths along with the cleaning solution, a useful option for kitchens or areas with persistent odors.
Self-cleaning base: spaced maintenance and less noise
The station features an integrated wash table with four pressurized water jets and a 16 mm waste chute. During the cycle, it applies 12 N of downward force to thoroughly wash the mops and evacuate debris toward the suction port, which, according to the brand, allows up to 200 days of maintenance-free operation.
To reduce disturbance, the base incorporates a three-stage noise suppression system with silencers and chambers that, during dust collection, can filter around the 80% of the noise. 55W fast charging completes the process in approximately 2,5 hours.
DJI Home App, Specific Modes, and Privacy
Control is centralized in DJI Home, which offers preset modes and customizable plans with one-touch quick start. These include carpet identification, threshold recognition to reduce crossings, intensive cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom with return to base to wash mops, and a profile for homes with pets that increases suction and decreases speed to avoid spreading waste.
The sensors and camera can be used to monitor your home, chat with family, or interact with pets. Access requires two-factor authentication upon first use, video streaming is encrypted, and the feature can be used to disable completely when not in use.
Design, versions and accessories

In the ROMO P range, the robot and base feature transparent panels to showcase its interior architecture. ROMO A offers a transparent cover on the robot with a white base, while ROMO S maintains a uniform white finish. All models share the same sensors, suction power, and extendable arms, while the P adds deodorant dosage on the mops.
The ecosystem is completed with official accessories (brushes, cloths, self-sealing bags, cleaning solutions, and a ramp). At the after-sales level, the Extended Protection Plan adds an additional year beyond the official warranty for the robot and base; details can be found in the DJI store. Price and availability in Spain and Europe
ROMO is now available for purchase on the DJI website and through authorized distributors, with shipping available to Spain and other European countries. Official prices are as follows: ROMO S from €1.299, ROMO A from €1.599 y ROMO P from €1.899.
As a launch promotion, DJI is applying initial discounts until November 10 (€200 on ROMO P and €100 on ROMO A and S) and, in select regions, is adding a cleaning accessory kit for approximately six months of use, subject to availability. These conditions may vary by market, so it is recommended check the current offer before you buy.
With an approach that prioritizes precise navigation, simplified maintenance and app management, ROMO arrives to compete in the high-end range of robot vacuum cleaners in Europe; it does so by relying on in-house sensors and software, a base that reduces periodic tasks and clear privacy functions, at a price that seeks to justify its complete technology package.
