iRobot has announced the launch of a new line of robot vacuum cleaners under its famous brand Roomba, with the goal of revamping its catalog and improving the home cleaning experience. This new range claims to respond to many consumer demands, including significant improvements and even a new app. We'll tell you everything you need to know about the new Roomba 105, Roomba 205, Roomba 405 and Roomba 505, without forgetting to give you details about their release dates and prices. A new classification for Roombas
Designed for vacuuming and moppingiRobot's idea is to once again offer a comprehensive cleaning solution, leveraging ClearView LiDAR technology to improve navigation and mapping of the home, enabling more precise obstacle avoidance. Furthermore, as part of the renewal process, it has decided to simplify its product nomenclature, organizing them into three ranges:
- Roomba: entry-level models (more economical) with the essential functions.
- Roomba Plus: intermediate devices with greater cleaning capacity in terms of autonomy.
- Roomba Max: the most advanced range with features premium.
Main features of the new models
Roomba 105 Combo: This is the entry model and has 7.000 Pa suction power, a figure significantly higher than previous generations. It's equipped with the SmartScrub mop (available in premium versions last year) and can be purchased with or without the self-emptying base (it has up to 75 days of retention, in a bag that traps 99% of allergens, before needing to be cleaned).
- Price without base: 299 euros
- Price with self-emptying base: 399 euros
Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo: One of the most interesting innovations of this generation, without a doubt. This model incorporates a waste compactor This allows dirt to be stored inside the robot itself for 60 days without having to empty the tank. To do this, it uses a kind of internal grinder that reduces volume. It's perfect for those looking for a space-saving device, as it doesn't even have a self-emptying base. And it doesn't even forget about the mopping function: it also includes a reusable and washable microfiber mop that cleans twice as deeply.

Roomba Plus 405 Combo: This mid-range model introduces a new dual-mop rotating system It improves scrubbing and prevents wetting carpets by automatically lifting itself. It has a fairly large battery and, above all, a faster charging function, so you can quickly resume cleaning if necessary.
- Price: EUR 699
Roomba Plus 505 Combo + AutoWash Base: The most complete model in the series, with a most advanced LiDAR navigation system and an AI front camera to know what you're looking at and, based on that, what to clean or avoid. It also includes an extendable mop that makes it easier to clean corners and edges. Its base, by the way, washes the mop after use and dries it with warm air.

A new app to control cleaning
Along with these devices, iRobot has updated the Roomba Home App, offering a simpler, more intuitive environment with detailed home maps and smart cleaning suggestions based on user habits.
The enhanced experience that this app promises perfectly complements the iRobot's new Roomba 105, 205, 405, and 505 and in fact it will be in charge of managing them remotely, while to control previous models, you will have to continue using the old one - which will continue to be supported by the brand, don't worry about that.
Availability of the new robots
The new models will be available in Pre-sale starting March 18 on the iRobot website and in select stores in Spain and other European markets. They will be available for purchase starting on the 23rd of this month.
