Nuki has finally put its Power Pack on sale, a battery that some time ago already announced that it would arrive for its smart locks. Thanks to it, users who have one of these devices will be able to enjoy double the autonomy that right now they can achieve with the use of the four AA batteries that it uses.

At the beginning of the year we analyzed the Nuki SmartLock, a smart lock with which we had a great experience of use in all aspects. Because it was not only easy to install from the start, something that is always appreciated in this type of device; also capable of offering a very high level of security and that is what may be of most interest to those who bet on such a product.
However, as with any other device, there are always aspects that could be improved. One of them has to do with their autonomy. This lock uses four AA batteries that can be easily changed by the user. The only problem is that not everyone is in the mood for running on batteries, even if they are rechargeable or not. For this reason, he announced the launch of a Power Pack that would introduce other added improvements.
To begin with, the first benefit of this interchangeable battery is that it can be recharged by the user at any time. This is an advantage and has nothing to do with saving on the purchase of batteries, although it is also an added benefit. What this option of recharging at any time provides is that you reduce the possibility of the lock ceasing to be operational at the least opportune moment, something that can be very annoying if for some reason you have to give someone access remotely.
The second direct advantage is that the new battery pack is capable of offering twice the autonomy with four AA batteries. That means it could go up to a year of use. If you also take into account that when there is less than 20% autonomy left, you receive a notification through the application, it will be difficult for you to be unable to use the lock with the new battery.
