Move, one of the leading manufacturers of smart locks in Europe, has presented its latest creation: the Smart Lock Ultra. This model, which represents the fifth generation of the company's smart locks, promises to revolutionize the concept of home security with significant improvements in speed, energy efficiency and compact design. This new smart lock is not only more efficient, but also more intuitive and easy to use for connected home users. Thanks to its brushless motor, greater durability, efficiency and speed in unlocking doors have been achieved, offering homeowners a more reliable solution for their daily needs.
A brushless motor that makes the difference
Nuki has made a decisive commitment to technological innovation with its brushless motor, a technology that has been previously used in electric cars and is now coming to the world of smart locks. This motor allows the Smart Lock Ultra noticeably faster, more compact and efficient than previous versions. In fact, the lock is even three times faster, occupying only a third of the size of its predecessor models.
The lock also offers three different unlocking modes, to adapt to the needs of each home:
- Insane: Super fast unlock in just 1,5 seconds.
- Standard: A response time of 2 seconds.
- Gentle: For those who prefer less noise, albeit slower, without compromising safety.
This versatility represents a significant advance, offering options that suit both those seeking speed and those who value silence and discretion in their home.
Minimalist design with interchangeable finishes
Aesthetically, Nuki has maintained its characteristic circular design with a front LED ring, but has added improvements that allow for customization of the device. Now, users can match the lock to their surroundings, choosing between two interchangeable finishes in black and white, ensuring that this device fits perfectly into the decor of any door. All this without sacrificing elegance and the use of the device. stainless steel, material chosen for its durability.
Another strong point is that the lock includes a universal cylinder which guarantees a quick installation and is compatible with most standard doors, being possible to complete the installation in just 15 minutes. In addition, this cylinder ensures maximum physical protection, adding an additional barrier against possible attempts at forced entry.
Improved battery and charging options
One of the biggest drawbacks of previous generations dependence on alkaline batteries. In this new model, Nuki has gotten rid of that limitation and incorporated a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, which offers a duration of several months for each full charge. The battery is charged in just two hours thanks to its magnetic charging system, with a two meter cable This allows this to be done without having to remove the lock from the door. Thanks to this innovation, the lock could put an end to one of its main drawbacks, since the rechargeable battery system made the motor lose power when the charge approached its minimum level.
Easy data transfer and new features
Thanks to a new data migration system, users who already have a Nuki lock can easily upgrade to this model. Via the official app, all existing settings as well as access authorisations and previous connections can be transferred to the new lock without any complications. In addition, this new model allows up to 200 custom access authorizations, making it ideal for multi-member households or those who need to manage entrances to business premises. All of these functions can be managed from the Nuki app, giving you full access control from the palm of your hand.
Among the new features is the possibility of opening the lock using fingerprint or entering a PIN code thanks to Nuki's additional keypads, which add an extra layer of security and personalization to access.
Support for smart systems and connected home standards
El Smart Lock Ultra It remains compatible with the main smart platforms on the market, such as Google Home, Apple Home and Amazon Alexa, allowing its perfect integration into the digital home ecosystem. The device is also compatible with the protocols Matter and Thread, which facilitate more efficient and stable connectivity within the connected home. This new model also supports the functionality tap to unlock, which allows you to unlock your door by simply holding an NFC-enabled mobile phone near it. This feature is expected to be expanded in the near future with the introduction of new NFC-enabled keypads and the integration of more contactless access systems.
