Roborock Saros Z70

The world of robot vacuum cleaners has taken a giant leap with the arrival of the Roborock Saros Z70, a model that we could well classify as revolutionary since in a certain way it redefines how we understand cleaning at home. The reason is that the Asian team comes equipped with the innovative OmniGrip robotic arm, allowing this robot to not only clean but also pick up light objects such as socks, small towels and other similar items. Crazy.

The dream of many: a robot that also picks up your things

The OmniGrip is the first foldable robotic arm integrated into a mass-produced robot vacuum cleaner.. It is said soon. With five axes of movement (it is capable of unfold, extend and rotate both horizontally and vertically), the arm comes out from the 7,98cm ultra-thin body of the Saros Z70 to separate and place objects of up to 300 grams in designated areas, such as boxes or shelves. This functionality, which is, however, disabled at the factory for security reasons, can be configured through the application Roborock, the same one from which you configure and customize many other details of the device.

Its operation is very simple: during its first cleaning session, the Saros Z70 carries out its usual cleaning tasks while Detects and marks objects it can lift. Then go back over them, cleaning the missed areas in a second cleaning session.

We don't live by arm alone

The Saros Z70, however, not only stands out for its robotic arm. Your new navigation system, StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, combines 3D sensors with AI-powered RGB cameras to accurately map your home and detect up to 108 different types of obstacles. Plus, the technology VertiBeam It improves detection of cables, uneven furniture and other complex surfaces, ensuring efficient, damage-free cleaning. It even promises OTA updates that will allow the robot to learn to identify up to 50 new items in addition to the preconfigured ones.

The suction power is 22.000 Pa and its double rotating mops that rise up to 2,2 cm promise impeccable results even on difficult surfaces, such as medium or long pile carpets. It also has a cleaning mode pet recognition, which allows you to locate your dog or cat when you are not at home. This technology, already seen in previous devices in the catalogue, includes a camera with which you can make video calls and take photos of your pets while they clean.
