The world of Pokémon GO is preparing to celebrate its July Community Day. with a new protagonist: Quaxly, the Ducky Pokémon. This event, which brings together players from around the world to hunt, trade, and evolve creatures, is one of the most anticipated moments for the training community each season.

Key details and event times
The date to mark on the calendar will be July 20, 2025, from 14:00 PM to 17:00 PM in each player's local time. Throughout this interval, Quaxly will appear more frequently in the wild and, if luck holds out, it will be possible to find it in its shiny version. Fans who manage to evolve Quaxly into Quaxwell and finally Quaquaval before the July 27 at 22:00 p.m. (local time), they will get the latter to learn the exclusive attack Hydro Cannon.
Starting this year's Community Day, Quaquaval will also be able to access a new special Charged Attack, Water Dance, which perfectly suits its combat style.
Special bonuses and rewards
The event comes with Temporary benefits designed to enhance the experience of all participants. Some of the most notable bonuses include:
- Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Double Candy by capture.
- Double probability to obtain ++ Candies if your trainer is level 31 or higher.
- Bait modules active for three hours if used in the event.
- El Classic incense (excluding the daily adventure) will remain active for three hours when used during the Community Day window.
- An additional special exchange up to a maximum of three exchanges per day.
- El Stardust cost in trades is halved during the day.
These benefits will be available during core event hours, but some bonuses, such as module length and the possibility of extra exchanges, will be extended until 22:00 p.m. locally.
Exclusive Quaxly-focused research and tasks
Players will find several Field research focused on Quaxly capturesThese tasks will allow you to earn Stardust, Super Balls, additional Quaxly encounters, and other rewards useful to advance in the game.
Additionally, during the event a free temporary special fund research, accessible only on Community Day, culminating in a bonus encounter with Quaxly and improved chances of finding its Shiny version.
For those who wish to take advantage of the occasion even more, a special paid investigation for $1,99 USD or the equivalent price in local currency. Completing their tasks will earn you exclusive Quaxly encounters (some with special backgrounds), a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy ++, among other prizes.

Not only Quaxly will be the protagonist. Some Pokémon will appear more frequently in different areas depending on the environment:
- Cities: Snubbull, Trubbish, Elgyem and Sizzlipede; Espurr occasionally.
- Forests or grasslands: Skwovet, Fidough, Smoliv, and Tadbulb; occasionally Toedscool.
- Mountains: Hippopotas, Drillbur, and Rufflet; rare Gligar.
- Beaches or water areas: Inkay, Mareanie, Dewpider, Sandygast and Wiglett.
In this edition, Wiglett can be found in its brilliant version for the first time in Pokémon GO, something that will encourage collectors and curious people to look for it in its habitats.
