There's less than an hour to go before Huawei officially unveils the Mate X , but it seems someone has gotten their hands on a unit well in advance. The best part? They've shared the first images and even a video of the Huawei Mate X.
First real images of the Huawei Mate X
As you can see in the photos below, the device is identical to what we saw in the leaked advertisement a few days ago. The phone features a large foldable screen that remains visible at all times , unlike Samsung's Galaxy Fold.

Another interesting detail is the folding mechanism, as it doesn't appear to fold in half , but rather at about a third of the panel. This helps maintain a very comfortable aspect ratio for use both with the device closed and fully unfolded, or at least that's what we can gather from these images. Below you'll also find a video of the device:

The unfolded phone looks really attractive, with a size probably similar to the Samsung—at least judging by the proportions in your hands. Although the image quality isn't great, you can see three sensors on the back, so this phone not only boasts a new screen, but also represents a significant improvement in photography, opting for a triple-camera system like other current high-end models.
Another leaked image gives us an idea of the thickness, perhaps the worst aspect of this phone. From what we can see when holding it and photographing it in profile, the device has a rather thick body , a result, of course, of being a first-generation device using a technology that has just been launched but which could end up deterring many users—well, all this without even mentioning its price, which we have yet to find out.
We'll soon be able to reveal much more, so we highly recommend you follow Huawei's press conference at MWC 2019 and keep a close eye on our constantly updated homepage. Things are going to get very interesting, and we'll tell you everything. Guaranteed.
