There's nothing like acting completely normal to avoid being asked over and over again about something you're not interested in talking about. So Huawei continues to do its thing, and today it has presented its new mid-range device in China with which It also launches a new processor. We tell you all its details.
New Huawei Nova 5
This new member of the Huawei family arrives to continue increasing the offer of Midrange present in the brand. It does so with a rather striking design, very similar to the company's high-end models, thus allowing the user to opt for a device with an excellent design at a slightly lower price.
What hardware changes does it include to lower its price? Obviously the most striking changes will be found in the processor, memory and cameras, although we must say that the cover letter does not look bad. To begin with, it launches a new 7-nanometer processor, the Kirin 810, a brain that would be placed as the second Huawei CPU manufactured with 7 nanometer technology along with the well-known Kirin 980.

Right next to this processor (eight cores divided into two at 2,2 GHz and six at 1,88 GHz) we will find a Mali-G52 graphics and an NPU, a chip that will allow us to obtain Artificial Intelligence advanced to this mid-range terminal. By the way, within the family there will also be the so-called Nova 5i, a more discreet version, with a somewhat inferior processor, the Kirin 710.
Four cameras for all tastes
The photographic configuration in this Nova 5 goes through a set of four rear cameras Captained by a 48-megapixel sensor. We will also have a 16-megapixel ultra-angular sensor, another 2-megapixel sensor to calculate depths in portrait mode, and another 2-megapixel sensor specially designed for macro photography.

Here again the Nova 5i lowers the bar a bit, betting on a configuration with a 24 MP sensor (main), 8 MP (wide angle), 2 MP (macro) and 2 MP (depth sensor).
Notch and fingerprint reader on the screen
Continuing with its upper-middle-range profile, the Nova 5 has dared to include a fingerprint reader integrated in the screen, so there will be no extra items on your back beyond the cameras. On the front, its 6,39-inch OLED screen offers an HD+ resolution and on the upper bezel it leaves room for a drop-type notch that will house the 32-megapixel front camera.
Generous battery with fast charge

Huawei has further confirmed that the phone, with a module of 3.500 mAh, it has a 40W fast charge, so that in just 15 minutes you will be able to charge 50% of the terminal's battery (and up to 85% in just 30 minutes). The Nova 5i, for its part, comes with an even larger module, 4.000 mAh.
Prices and availability
El Nova 5 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is now available at a price of 2.799 yuan (about 356 euros to change), while a version called Nova 5 Pro (which differs only by having the Kirin 980 processor inside) part of the 2.999 yuan (382 euros) for its internal 8 GB and 128 GB version and of the 3.399 yuan (433 euros) for the 8 GB version and 256GB.
As to Nova 5i, with 128 Gb internal and 6 or 8 GB of RAM is for sale in China for 1.999 and 2.199 yuan (255 and 280 euros), respectively. Its availability outside of the Asian market is currently a mystery.
