The latest point to nothing less than a significant design overhaul of the device's back, a reduction in the screen notch, and a notable boost to the internal hardware. Beyond the aesthetic tweaks, Apple's plan also includes prioritizing battery life, thermal management, and performance (with a slightly heavier Pro Max), not to mention a staggered release schedule that would distribute new features in two waves.
