Do you remember the flip phone from Motorola? Well, maybe you'll see it in the shop windows again very soon. An important American medium assures that the smartphone could resurrect sooner rather than later, changing, yes, its small screen at that time for a type panel flexible. There is nothing. And beware that there is even talk of the sale price.
The return of Motorola RAZR
10 years ago it was undoubtedly one of the star telephones: a resolute and very manageable device, with a folding type design -this is what was worn then-, which nevertheless had to end up saying goodbye after the irruption of the first iPhone, and after having sold more than 130 million models worldwide.
Now this terminal so iconic could rise from its ashes which phoenix bird. This is how they assure it Wall Street Journal WSJ from now on-, where they point out that its manufacturer, Lenovo -remember that the Motorola brand has been owned by the Chinese firm since 2014- it has closed an agreement with the carrier verizon to throw in exclusive a new Razr that would reach the hands of the Americans next February. The smartphone is finalizing tests anyway, so the American publication indicates that this date could change and be delayed if everything is not ready on time.

The idea, according to sources wsj, happens to produce 200.000 units of this high-end equipment that, obviously, would include important improvements and changes compared to the version of a decade ago –Captain Obviousness to the rescue-, including a flexible type screen -an idea that in fact Lenovo already registered in 2017 in a patent. We therefore assume that the smartphone would retain a similar design (in terms of comfort and handling in the hand), in which perhaps when opened everything is a screen, to offer the user a much broader panel and adapted to the consumption that we currently do with these equipment.
Recall that on February 20 Samsung will hold an event where we all look forward to seeing its first foldable screen phone. A previous launch by Motorola/Lenovo would undoubtedly be painful for the Koreans, who have been preparing for a long time the coming-out of this equipment that is still so futuristic for most mortals.
Announcement dates aside, what will end up mattering is its placement on the market and, therefore, its sale price. According to wsj, the new and resurrected Motorola Razr will have a U.S. dollar price 1.500, which could even go up if the exclusivity with the operator ends later and it decides to go out to the rest of the world. In that case, the firm could end up with an overly reluctant public that is increasingly tired of such expensive prices on phones.
