The latest update of the Copilot app on Windows takes a significant step: the assistant will be able to link personal Google and Microsoft accounts, allowing access to emails, files, events, and contacts. In practice, this means that Gmail and Google Drive, as well as services like OneDrive or Outlook, to provide more contextual answers.
Along with this integration, Microsoft is adding a feature designed to help you work faster with AI-generated content. From within the chat itself, you can create and export documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF based on a tip, with initial availability to Windows Insiders.
Connectors: what they are and how they work

Supported services in this first phase: Supported ServicesGmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, OneDrive, and Outlook. The user can ask requests in natural language, for example, "Find my notes from last week" or "Tell me Maria's email," and the assistant will review the connected accounts and respond within the same interface.
In addition to saving time, this integration reduces the need to constantly jump between tabs. For typical tasks, such as preparing for a meeting or gathering invoices, combines emails, files, and events from multiple sources and presents them in a coherent manner so you can continue working without interruptions.
Privacy and user control

Integration with personal services is completely optional. From the Connectors section of the app, each person decides which accounts to link and for how long. Each connector can be activated or deactivated individually., with the possibility of withdrawing access whenever desired.
Microsoft emphasizes that control remains in the hands of the user and that the connection requires explicit consent. With this approach, Cross-platform searching is performed respecting the chosen configuration, preventing Copilot from consulting sources that have not been authorized.
Create and export documents with a single command

The wizard can now transform ideas, summaries, and data into files ready for sharing or editing. With a simple instruction, generates documents from the conversation, Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, or PDF files.
When the wizard's response is long, a quick action is enabled to avoid wasting time on additional steps. If the text exceeds 600 characters, an export button appears to send content to the chosen format, which speeds up the creation of materials without changing tools.
This capability is useful for tasks such as preparing a presentation with the key points of an email, creating a report from a table, or consolidating scattered notes in a document. In all cases, generation and sending to the final format are resolved within Copilot with a single command.
Availability and deployment
The new features are gradually rolling out to the Copilot app on Windows for Windows Insiders. To test them, the company says you'll need to have a valid driver. version 1.25095.161.0 or higher of the app, with progressive activation by test channels.
Those not part of the testing program will receive these features later, as the general rollout progresses. While the focus is on the experience on modern devices, boost the use of Windows in one place.
