Google has announced through its blog that Google Photos introduces one new feature called Memories. This is similar to “Rediscover this day”, the difference is that you will do it daily by selecting photos taken on the same day, but in different years.

The “Rediscover this day” function is for many one of the most interesting in Google Photos. Thanks to it and to photography we can reactivate those memories that we store in our brain. These collections, as they explain on their blog, will make use of the machine learning with the aim of avoiding duplicate photos, poor quality captures or where there are elements that are not correct. Of course, you can customize and take advantage of options to skip certain periods of time or people if you want.
Then, each collection will be displayed at the top of the application interface, in circles that are very reminiscent of the interface of Instagram stories. But the thing does not stop there, the photos that are shown can be shared with those people who matter. For example, a relative or that other person that appears in the image.
Through private chats you can send the photos. The interesting thing about this, although it was somewhat obvious, is that the photos are shared with the same quality and resolution as the original file. There are many options for saving our photos and even videos on the internet, but if it is free, we must admit that there is no better option than Google Photos. The service works very well and the value provided by the assistant is very high.
It is true that sometimes options such as "Rediscover this day" may bother you, or that the process of synchronization, backup copies, and freeing up space is not well understood. But when you do it you realize all the advantages it brings.
