The Pixel 3 's camera continues to receive exciting improvements that make taking photos easier for users. We've already seen this on numerous occasions with automatic image adjustments and the impressive Night Sight mode, but now the new features are coming directly to the front-facing camera.
Photo booth mode on the Pixel 3
The company has included in the latest version of its camera the so-called Photo Booth Mode , an automatic mode that will detect the scene and the right moment to take the picture so you don't have to worry about pressing the shutter button, an operation that sometimes becomes quite a challenge depending on the situation.
This mode is based on automatic photography technology with Google Clips, and is capable of capturing the image automatically in many cases. For example, it will automatically take a photo when we smile. In the case of being with a group of friends, the software will take care of detecting when everyone is smiling to take the perfect shot, at the same time that it will calculate the most stable moment so that the photo does not come out blurry. As you can see in the animated GIF above, the software doesn't take the shot until all three people in the scene are looking and smiling at the camera. Amazing.
Another of the striking functions is that of the kiss. If a couple wants to take a photo while kissing in front of a beautiful landscape, the camera will take charge of shooting the instant they do so, allowing the protagonists to focus on the moment and forget about trying to press the button. Marvelous.
Taking good group selfies can be tricky. With Photobooth, a new shutter-free mode in the Pixel 3 Camera app, you can now shoot selfies that automatically capture you and your friends when you're all looking your best! Learn how at ↓ https://t.co/pNc4TpteFo pic.twitter.com/dTMc6OjBNm
