What a way to start Easter. If you are trying to contact your loved ones and cannot find a way to do so through social networks, you should know that the main social networks are down. So much Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are down all over the world and there is no way to send messages or use these social networks.
Why is WhatsApp not working?
All these services arrive down for a couple of hours around the world and the chaos is total. There are many users who are surprised to believe that the internet connection of their mobile phone and home does not work, however, what happens is that The main social networks have stopped working.

The problem seems to be in the servers on which the service runs, a host on which the messaging services of Social media coordinator y Facebook MessengerHence, all three are affected in a greater or equal way. Facebook itself has confirmed that a new server configuration has caused certain problems for applications and services, so they are currently working hard to restore service as soon as possible.

Everything indicates that someone must have pressed the wrong button when applying the new configuration, an error that has knocked down the rest of the neighboring services as if it were a house of cards. This big drop coincides with the one that Facebook suffered again worldwide just a month ago, so someone in the IT department shouldn't be too happy with the work of their employees.
I can't send messages on WhatsApp, anything else?
Although the general problem affects the sending and receiving of messages on WhatsApp, some users may be experiencing other types of problems when using the messaging service.
