Few events capture the magic of an iconic film like a live performance with orchestral music. To meet this challenge, the city of San Diego hosts a unique event: a concert screening of Batman (1989) , a sensory experience where film and music merge at Petco Park.
For one night only, coinciding with Comic-Con, Tim Burton's acclaimed film will be screened on the big screen, accompanied by a live performance of Danny Elfman's score by a 50-piece orchestra . This makes the screening more than just a simple viewing: it's a must-see for fans of both the DC universe and film music.
A tribute to Danny Elfman and cinema
The original Batman soundtrack (1989) is recognized as one of the most influential in the genre. Danny Elfman, its creator, set a new standard for superhero music, and his work has transcended generations. This concert is not only a tribute to the film but also to the importance of music in cinema , demonstrating how notes can transform scenes and emotions.
The event will be presented by TCG Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, a partnership that guarantees the show's authenticity and production quality. As a special bonus, the screening will be in its entirety: attendees will be able to watch the film from beginning to end, accompanied by a live orchestra.
Tickets, details and thematic atmosphere
This isn't just a simple screening for film buffs. The organizers encourage attendees to dress up as characters from the Batman universe , creating a fun and interactive atmosphere. The event takes place on July 26th , with doors opening at 19:00 PM and the show scheduled to begin at 20:30 PM, at the iconic Petco Park, a perfect venue for large-scale events and immersive experiences.
