It's been quite a while since we've found a bargain this good, so now that it's just appeared on Amazon, we simply had to share it with you. One of the best smart bulbs on the market has seen a dramatic price drop, allowing you to buy it for just €4,99 . An incredible deal you should definitely grab before it disappears.
TP-Link and its Tapo: a great option
Philips Hue bulbs seem to have a monopoly in the market, but the truth is that there are other very good alternatives in the sector with equally satisfying performance. One of the best-known is the Tapo range from TP-Link , which already boasts more affordable prices than the Dutch company without sacrificing the features and capabilities you should expect when buying a smart bulb.
The Tapo L530E, the model we're discussing today, is a good example of this. It's a multi-color model that allows you to customize its light in terms of brightness, temperature, and color, with 16.000.000000 different shades to choose from. You can configure this through a dedicated app that you'll need to install on your smartphone or tablet (either iOS or Android). In the app, you can also set up on/off routines, different schedules, and even configure its so-called Away Mode, which simulates someone being home to deter unwanted visitors.
Needless to say, it offers support for voice control, both with Alexa and through the Google Assistant , so you can use commands like "Alexa, turn on the light" or say "Ok, Google, dim the lights in my room."
This is an E27 bulb with 806 lumens and 8,7W of power that doesn't require a hub to operate; simply connect it to your home Wi-Fi to turn it on. It's perfect both for getting started with smart home technology and for expanding your collection if you already have several at home—once you try one, you'll want to replace all the others in your house, trust us!
Special discount on Amazon with code
This particular light bulb has an official price of €17,99, although it usually has some discounts on Amazon, meaning you can often find it cheaper. Even so, nothing compares to today's amazing discount. The Tapo can be bought for just €4,99 through a promotional code that you should take advantage of right now.
Simply click on the link below – you can click on either the image or the red "View Offer" button – and look for a small indicator below the product price that says "Redeem." If you see it, it means you can use the code ALEXATAPO , which you'll need to enter during the checkout process, after adding the light bulb to your cart and before paying.
If you don't see the word "Redeem" on the TP-Link product page, you can still try using the code, but our tests indicate that it's Amazon's way of letting you know whether or not you can use it. The offer, by the way, only applies to purchases shipped to Spain (it's Amazon that sells and ships it, by the way) and is limited to one unit per customer and account . Keep that in mind.
