The expansion incorporates a wide set of confirmed cards: 6 ex-Mega Evolution Pokémon, 4 additional ex Pokémon, 13 Artwork Rare cards, 17 Ultra Rare cards, and 5 Special Artwork Rare cards including Mega Evolution and Supporter.

  • 17 Ultra Rare cards (Mega Evolution, Trainer, and Energy)
  • 5 Rare Special Illustration cards (Mega Evolution and Supporter)

Mechanics and changes in Mega Evolutions

Ex-Mega Evolution Pokémon cards return with more powerful stats: more HP and high damage attacks compared to the conventional ones, in addition to effects that introduce new lines of play.

To balance its power, when a former Mega Evolution is Knocked Out, the opponent takes three Prize lettersThis is a factor to consider when adjusting decks and planning the pace of the game.

As a notable change, it is no longer essential to go through all the intermediate stages to mega evolve: you can move forward directly from the compatible Pokémon to its Mega Evolution form without stopping at the previous phase.

Art and rarities designed for collectors

Ultra Rare rarity cards take on a renewed artistic style, in which the silhouette of the conventional Pokémon form can be seen in the background, providing visual identity to each piece.

Along with them, the Rare Illustration and Special Rare Illustration rarities offer attractive finishes for those looking for cards with aesthetic appeal without losing sight of their use on the table.

From launch, players will have access to booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and themed collections in Latin American stores, with launch events hosted by participating Play! Pokémon retailers.
