In the world of cinema there is always an opportunity to discover new stories, although it must be recognized that there are certain genres that are more difficult to find something different. It is what happens to us Countdown (the hour of your death), a scary film with a certain air of "I've already seen this" but with a new protagonist on the scene: a mobile application. Take a look at the trailer… please.
Trailer of the new movie Countdown
The horror genre welcomes a new horror movie of those that really has little -although you will take away some substitute when you see the trailer... or so we think. We refer to Countdown, which in Spain will be translated as the hour of your death -better not ask-, a film in which technology comes into play with the presence of a mobile application.
From what we know from its synopsis, which we leave you below, and thanks to the trailer, Countdown tells us the story of a young woman who, together with her friends at a party, accidentally downloads a mobile application called precisely «Countdown" (Countdown). What the app does is tell you how long do you have left to live, giving the protagonist a real disgust when she finds that what she has left on earth is two days. a bit in the style of Final destination, the girl will try by all means that the prediction does not come true. But it will be difficult, of course:
A nurse (Lail) downloads a mobile app that she claims can predict the exact moment a person is going to die. At that moment she discovers that she only has three days left to live. With time playing against her and after being chased by an unknown person, her only option is to find a way to survive before time runs out.
The film has been directed by Justin Dec (with a fairly short filmography behind him, so it may not sound familiar to you) and stars Elizabeth Lail (You, Habia una vez), Peter Facinelli (saga Twilight), Anne Winters and Charlie McDermottThe Office), among others.

The truth is that the film finds its inspiration in part in a type of app that did exist a long time ago and, in fact, became fashionable. In application stores (and also on websites) solutions appear from time to time that take care of calculate how much time you have left, usually based on the answers you give to certain questions about your lifestyle. Based on this, it calculates an average, but it is still pure statistics and nobody should believe this type of information.
Now the idea makes the leap to the screen to mix technology and terror on the big screen in a film that we imagine will go unnoticed, but whose reference is still nice. The problem is that we are talking about generating fear, of course, instead of causing a smile...
Countdown It will open in theaters on October 25.
