collector of funkos? and lover of The Mandalorian? You should then hide the VISA or let yourself be completely fooled by the figures that we have to show you today. It turns out that the well-known doll firm has launched two new versions in honor of the Disney+ series and its second season, and when you see them, you will surely think the same as us: each time the sets are more spectacular and more elaborate. You don't believe us? Well, take a look and try not to fall in love.
The Mandalorian & The Child on Bantha
The first of the Funkos that has been presented new is the one you see under these lines. Entitled «The Mandalorian & The Child on Bantha» (number 416 of the collection Star Wars – The Mandalorian) depicts a scene from first chapter from the second season of the series. As you know, it returned just 10 days ago with a new episode (which Disney counts as Chapter 9 (Chapter 9)) that was received with very good reviews.
In it we see how Mando and little Baby Yoda reach Tatooine in search of other Mandalorians. There they will meet Cobb Vanth, Marshal of Mos Pelgo, who wears armor of the spice of our protagonist that he will claim. In the end they come to a deal: he will only give it to him if he helps him get rid of a krayt dragon that is terrorizing the small town of him. It goes without saying that after several attempts, our beloved Mandalorian achieves his mission, killing the monster and recovering the Mandalorian armor to continue on with his mission.
During the chapter we see several creatures among which the bantha, a type of animal already known from the movies, in Episodes I, II, IV and VI as well as from other Star Wars creations that stands out for its size and its imposing fur.
And this is precisely the indirect "protagonist" of the new Funko, where we see him with Mando and Baby Yoda riding on him. It is therefore a much larger figure than usual (it measures about 16 centimeters), in a box that is also larger, and with great detail (look at the fabrics or armor, for example). A very attractive proposal that for the moment has only appeared in the US, where it can already be Book Now for 29,99 dollars.
The Child with Egg Canister
The other Funko is not far behind in size and originality either. It's about "The Child with Egg Canister" (number 407), and if you've seen the second episode from the second season (Chapter 10), you will already know what the story is about.
As you well remember, this time Mando and Baby Yoda will have to transport a rather special passenger who carries her last eggs in a capsule, likely to perpetuate her species, on the verge of extinction. When Baby Yoda discovers them, her impulse couldn't be more primal: all she wants is eat them at all costs.
And it is precisely this fascination that is represented by this new figure in which we see The Child looking at the egg capsule. It also comes in a fairly large box, since the figure is 10 centimeters wide (approximately).
The Funko is already available in the US although it has been out of stock In a blink of an eye. Even so, they warn that they will replace it soon. Its price is $24,99.
We assume that it will be a matter of (very) little that both this and the Bantha funko appear in Spain. Patience.
