It was a rumor that has not been confirmed (and that many did not even believe would happen), but finally here we have it: the mythical series Futurama has landed on Disney+ and does so through its new star catalog, intended for the adult public. This is what you need to know to enjoy it.
Futurama, a cult series
There are few animation lovers (and even people who are not related to the genre) who do not know Futurama. This series, created by Matt Groening, responsible for The Simpsons, came into our lives precisely as an alternative to the experiences of Springfield, in which we moved away from the American family format that it offered us to focus on the solitary Philip Fry, a pizza delivery man who accidentally stumbles on December 31, 1999 and falls into a cryogenic capsule in which he remains asleep until he wakes up again, a thousand years later. By then his world will have changed completely and he will have to adapt to a new life with the help of the cyclops. Leela and the unpresentable robot bender.
The series was first broadcast on Fox in March 1999 and was canceled in August 2003. It would be rescued 5 years later through Comedy Central, which decided to contribute to the format again from that date until 2013, when we saw the final chapter.

In total we have enjoyed a total of 10 seasons with a quite variable number of episodes (140 to be exact) (some only had 13, like the first, while some of the last two came to offer twice as many, 26). During its trajectory, the series has garnered a good number of awards and nominations (for the Annie, Emmy, Nebula...) that only prove that it is one of the most emblematic series of our popular television culture.
Now on Disney+ Star
In case you haven't heard yet, Disney+ has a new catalogue within your own offer. It is about Star and it brings together a good number of series, films and documentaries owned by the mouse house that have something in common: they were not suitable to be offered on the candid platform that we all know up to now.
And it is that Disney is quite strict with the classification of its contents and very aware of the public to which it is addressed, for which reason it has always wanted to have its proposals perfectly differentiated so as not to "contaminate" that more "purer" catalog in which parents can trust 100% so that their children can view without surprises.

futurama, Although it is an animated series, it is not exactly intended for the Children publicFor this reason, the company has introduced it to Star, a new category "for adults" where it will surely find its audience among all those fans who want to view its crazy episodes again. Not only does this proposal arrive, of course: the firm takes advantage of this safe-conduct to also introduce many other contents from Fox, which it has owned for a long time.
How to watch Futurama on Star
To access Futurama (and the rest of the series) you therefore have it as simple as following the following steps:
- Enter the Disney+ platform as usual and log in
- A screen will appear asking you if you want to access to all Star content. Click Continue.
- You will be prompted for your Disney+ account password. Enter it.
- From then on, on the home screen you will see a Star content section. Just by clicking on it you can go to this new "catalog" and even search by category -although it is likely that you will find some images of Futurama to access directly.

Of course, one thing is clear: you will not get bored with so many options. It's clear.
