HBO has chosen "The Iron Throne" as the main proposal to present for the Emmy Awards, specifically in two categories as important as they are best direction and best screenplay. He is also running for best photography, along with "The Long Night" (8×03) y "The last Starks" (8×04), who also enter the direction, shared in these cases with Miguel Sapochnik and David Nutter, respectively.
La surprise of the followers of the series has not been long in coming and social networks have been filled with messages and memes –oh, the memes– commenting on the wrong choice of the content platform. It is the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences that has the last word and the one that finally decides the nominees for this year's awards - which will be held in Los Angeles on September 23-, with a list that we will not know until July 16 -in it we also hope to see some of the actors in the cast nominated as usual, of course.
