Less than two weeks remain until the final season of Game of Thrones begins —who would have thought it, huh?—and the anticipation for the series is growing. HBO isn't exactly helping matters, as the platform has released two new video trailers that only serve to heighten our excitement while raising even more questions…
New Game of Thrones video trailers
With the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones just around the corner - specifically, there are 12 days left until the beginning of the end - we are all waiting for clues, news or any material that HBO (or anyone from the series team) can offer us.
That's why you're sure to enjoy these two new trailers, released a few hours ago by the streaming service, as much as we are. They're promotional previews that blend many familiar images with brand-new footage never before seen.

The first video, titled " Together " and 40 seconds long, once again features the epic battle we've been promised. Tyrion Lannister appears at the beginning, declaring that they must all fight together now "or die ." New battle footage is shown while Jon Snow warns that their enemies are tireless and relentless, and that "they're coming." The video closes with one of Daenerys' dragons breathing fire.
The second trailer has generated considerably more buzz than the first. Titled " Survival " and also 40 seconds long, it shows, for example, the moment before the long-awaited reunion between Arya Stark and Jon Snow—in case you haven't noticed, the "half-siblings" haven't seen each other since the first season, which is quite a while. We hear Sam (Samwell Tarly) reminding someone to "think about where they started," and then Jon Snow saying that now "it's just us."
As you've probably noticed, right after Jon's line (spoken while Daenerys's image appears on screen), several of the main characters in Winterfell are shown looking up in astonishment. Sansa's reaction is understandable (it's the first time she's seen a dragon), but Tyrion Lannister's is less so. He also appears on screen looking up in surprise, despite having lived with them for quite some time since joining the Targaryen cause.
This situation has led people to speculate on a new theory: what if what they're watching in amazement is Jon Snow flying on one of the dragons ? It's undoubtedly one of the most anticipated scenes after the revelation that Jon Snow isn't a bastard at all, but Aegon Targaryen himself, and therefore the true heir to the Iron Throne.

The video continues with Jon Snow declaring that "this war must end," and Jaime Lannister stating that this goes beyond loyalty and is truly about survival. Similar declarations follow as we see more footage of the battle, culminating with Arya running, frightened and sweaty, through what appears to be catacombs—the very scene that opens the official trailer.
Did anyone else just get really nervous ? What do you think of these new developments?
