1989 Batmobile, the latest from LEGO
As you well know, if you are a fan and follower of the block house collections, LEGO already has its own Batmobile in its catalog or "Batmobile: The Joke's Pursuit", which is the official name given to the pack of pieces with the one that represents the mythical vehicle of Batman.
This set includes the DC vehicle (it is made up of 342 pieces) and many details that make it very attractive, such as the dashboard of the opening cabin for a minifigure, the decoration of the hubcaps or the flaming exhaust that rotates automatically when push the vehicle. However, it seems that all these details were not enough for the company and it has decided to launch a new exclusive special edition with which to commemorate nothing less than the 30 years of Batman.
This is how it is born «1989 Batmobile«, a set with a new redesigned car much more attractive, imposing and with larger proportions than the previous one that becomes part of the DC Super Heroes collection. With 60 cm in length, 12 cm in height and 22 cm in width and composed of more than 3.306 items (to be said soon), hardcore Batman fans are going to fall in love with this new offering that features a cockpit with a sliding canopy, two seats for minifigures, steering wheel, stickers on the gear lever and dashboard, full curved windshield, two hidden machine guns (appearing when the turbine exhaust is turned) and decorative hooks on both sides of the vehicle.
It also does not forget to put the batlogo on the hubcaps and comes with specially designed tires for the front wheels, among other details.
The car is also accompanied by a rotating display stand (with an information plate where car data can be read) and also includes 3 minifigures: the Batman, with a cape in the image of his suit in the 1989 film; that of Joker; and that of a much less expected character, Vicki Vale with his camera. In case you need more comparisons with respect to the standard version, this only includes two figures, Batman and Joker - and we would even dare to say that they are not so well characterized.
Availability and price of the 1989 Batmobile
