A new Netflix price hike is coming

Netflix

We have some bad news to give you: Netflix just raise your prices in several countries and, sooner or later (rather the latter), it will also end up doing it in Spain. We tell you what the new rates are and what changes the platform has introduced.

New prices on Netflix

Netflix has decided it's time to raise your rates and there are already several markets in which you can see how the service has tightened the screws on its different plans. The first to release new figures, of course, has been the US where the on-demand content platform has raised the monthly subscription cost of its entire offer.

This implies, as well indicated by our colleagues ADSL Zone, even to the plan Basic, which has been maintaining its price even when the rest of the plans have increased in the past. Thus, this subscription, which cost in the US market $7,99 becomes an outlay of $8,99, implying one more dollar to be able to enjoy the service with standard definition and on a single device at a time.

The other two plans have a more noticeable rise. so the plan Standard HD leaves from costing $10,99 to now cost $12,99, that is, 2 dollars more. This is the plan that is contracted the most, giving access to two simultaneous users and to high-definition content. As for the plan Premium Ultra HD, raise its price of the 13,99 dollars at $15,99 per months, with which access is given to four simultaneous users/devices and an image quality in UHD 4K.

En Germany, It has not yet been made effective, but the prices have also been leaked, thus showing that its arrival in Europe is imminent - and that it will be a matter of nothing that touches Spain. According to sources, the German country will go from having the basic plan at 7,99 euros to cost 9,99 Euros and the Standard plan from 10,99 euros to 11,99 Euros or even at 13,99 euros. As for the Premium, it is indicated that it will no longer cost 13,99 euros to go up to 15,99 Euros (although it is also considered that they are 17,99 euros -in our opinion, too high).

Current prices in Germany They are the same ones we have in Spanish territory, so if these figures are confirmed, it is very likely that we will also see them reflected here.

We will have to wait for official confirmation from Netflix Spain, but everything indicates that soon they will have to pay more to enjoy their content. Do you have a subscription to the platform? Will you keep it if rates go up as expected?
