And it is that Hasbro, one of the main toy firms in the world, seems to have withdrawn its doll in honor of the character of The Mandalorian after the controversy generated by Gina Carano, the actress in charge of giving her life - remember that Carano has been abruptly fired by Disney. Production canceled by Hasbro
The news has spread like wildfire in recent hours. Hasbro would have canceled its Cara Dune figures, thus following the rejection shown by Disney itself and the franchise lucas film, what did they decided fire to his actress, Gina Carano, last week.
As we already told you, Carano had been maintaining a rather controversial profile for some time due to his statements on social networks, in which there was no doubt about messing with the use of masks due to the pandemic or protesting an alleged fraud in the US presidential elections - it is openly republican and trumpist. The straw that broke the camel's back, however, occurred last week, when he dared to compare the situation experienced by Republicans in his country with that suffered by Jews in the Holocaust. Undoubtedly very unfortunate and out of place statements that soon set fire to Twitter, Instagram and other platforms, which clamored for his dismissal.
Said and done, Disney announced its dismissal of the successful series The Mandalorian, through a statement, signed by Lucasfilm, that Gina's words were "abhorrent and unacceptable." The actress, far from apologizing, has made an appeal to all those who live in fear of the "totalitarian mafia" and has been happy to have other projects that carry it out as a person and professional, such as The daily wire, a film developed and produced by herself.
While Hasbro He has also moved token. The toy company has not confirmed this decision but a large US distributor, BigBadToyStore, has The Hollywood Reporter, indicating that they have canceled the orders for Cara Dune figures from the brand (quite popular, by the way) because they are not going to make more. Apparently a new production batch was about to start, for which the company had accepted reservations from users, however, after the events that occurred, Hasbro has decided not to manufacture the figure anymore.

Following this decision, the Hasbro figure has just become a limited edition that could well revalue over time, becoming a collector's figure.
