"At this point the news will be the premiere of a film and not its delay." I'm sure you've thought about it too. And it is that day yes, day too, we have to echo the movement of the agenda of a new film that has decided, given the situation of COVID-19, to postpone its coming-out rather than lose more money in cinemas that are not going to be filled. Yesterday, without going any further, we received the news of Dune, and today we must do the same with several DC titles (which shares a distributor with Villeneuve's proposal), which surely makes you wonder how the release plan for the marvel opponent. The answer, of course, is below. Keep reading.
more and more delays
This is a non-stop although deep down we all expected it. Following an unprecedented pandemic that brought the world to a standstill for months in early 2020, many thought the second half of the year would be the time for recovery. We would all have learned to live with the virus (waiting for a vaccine), the new normal would be imposed and little by little business would start rolling as usual... But nothing could be further from reality. Although it is true that some sectors are gradually recovering, many others continue to experience the worst year in their history and among them is the film industry.
Completely orphan of titles to release, it was expected that many of the blockbusters would be concentrated from October to December, however, every day we find out about a new movie that falls off the plan. From Black Widow (which has meant that we have never been so long without a Marvel film in theaters) to the recent Dune, from which Warner Bros. announced yesterday that it is moving to no less than October 2021 (we practically have to wait another year, crazy).

The different DC titles have also danced non-stop. Wonder Woman 1984 it has been postponed several times but at least it will hold in December (for now), whereas we have just learned that The Batman it also falls from its first scheduled date, moving to the 2022 and causing the displacement of other titles. And beware that we already sneak in 2023 ...
