La sonic movie the wind continues and today thanks to an exclusive published by IGN We can see the first official poster of the film. The news could go unimportant, however, what is truly interesting about the announcement is that for the first time since the announcement of the film we can see in broad strokes what this will look like. Sonic on the big screen.
A very real Sonic

The interview has revealed some details about the appearance of the porcupine that, although it still remains anonymous, already reveals the first brushstrokes about its physical appearance. On the one hand, we have the spikes. The bluish back of the SEGA mascot will sport fur instead of a solid body similar to what we are used to seeing in game sprites and in the animated series.
The fault of this will be the adaptation that the filmmakers have wanted to give the character, since according to what they say, the image is quite similar to the one that the teddy bear could have given. Ted (not to mention that it is very reminiscent of the adaptation of Pikachu in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu). This shift towards reality is quite a shock to the image we might have of the hedgehog from before, but perhaps it makes a lot of sense thanks to the voice actor who will bring him to life, who will be none other than Ben Schwartz.

But the animated image has not served to solve one of the biggest mysteries that revolve around the figure of the character. We are obviously talking about his eyes, a very characteristic feature of the SEGA mascot that apparently will change radically in his representation of the film. The filmmakers themselves assure that "SEGA will not be entirely happy with the decision of the eye", so the most Sonic fans may find themselves with a tough evolution.
This change will be defined mainly by the style that they have given the character from the beginning, closer to a real creature than to an animated figure in the style of Pixar (similarity with which they do not agree to use in their film).
The film will also include the appearance of Tom Wachowski (played by James Marsden) or Dr. Robotnik himself (played by Jim Carrey). What is not clear is whether Tails or Knuckles will have their place, something they prefer not to answer, although they do talk about some Easter eggs that the faithful followers of the saga will quickly recognize.
Sonic the Movie will be released in November 2019, so we will have to wait another year to see the famous hedgehog run through the valleys of Green Hill at full speed.
