With a total of 604 pages, this incredible XXL volume will reveal the other side of the original trilogy, featuring behind-the-scenes images, sketches, never-before-told stories, and thousands of anecdotes recounted by George Lucas himself. The work of Paul Duncan (who has also produced other collections such as those on Rocky, David Bowie, and similar Star Wars compilations like those on Pedro Almodóvar, James Bond, and Charlie Chaplin), the book is available now on Taschen's website for €150. While it's currently in English, the good news is that the publisher will release German, French, and Spanish versions in 2019.

On the official website we can see some of the images that we will find inside, coming across scenes from the filming, original extracts from the scripts and many hand-drawn sketches that would later serve to give life to the final scenes that we could see in the great screen and that today we do not get tired of seeing in the remastered versions.
It's important to note that The Star Wars Archives compiles information exclusively from the original trilogy, so there won't be any information related to the later episodes of the more recent trilogies. In any case, the 604 pages that make up this gem will be more than enough for many, although we shouldn't rule out the possibility of future editions completing the collection. There's no official word on that yet, but it wouldn't be bad at all to complete the library with these three treasures, would it?
