El Apple Car is almost the Unicorn from the apple firm: everyone has been talking about it for eons, but no one has really seen real proof of its existence. Andrew Kim's resume has a run. After spending almost anecdotally at Google, where he spent less than a year, this designer was from 2013 to 2016 in ecosystem, being in charge during that period of the division of Hololens as well as collaborating with other "new products" of the brand (among which are the Xbox One S or the Windows 10 system itself).
From there he made the leap to nothing less than Tesla, where he has been occupying the position of senior design director, getting his hands on projects such as the Model 3, the Model X or the Model S, in addition to the still expected Model Y.
Now Kim has been signed by the apple house and, of course, everything is speculation about what job he will play exactly within the company. In his LinkedIn profile, he only indicates that he has started working this December at the Cupertino company and that he does so as a "designer", but without giving more information about which products he will handle specifically or in which division he will be involved. .

Meanwhile, Apple's secrecy about its car program remains intact. The only thing that is more recent is that there is a patent request, carried out in August, by the house, which shows a concept of a windshield with integrated augmented reality -You know how Apple likes this technology. There is also a record from the company with the California Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a license to autonomous vehicle, but nothing else is known for the moment about it.
Kim may well have been hired to lead or work on the company's big secret car project - which some analysts say could hit the market y entre 2023 2025– or on the other hand, simply having been recruited as a reinforcement for new products from the house, given his experience (and good taste, with a certain minimalist air, by the way) in technological devices.
