These were the tests and the key moments

The program included 26 sports and functional disciplines: speed and relays, jumps, futsal, boxing and martial arts, in addition to tasks such as classifying medicines, handling materials or cleaning a simulated room.
The races and football events garnered attention due to the striking staging: teams of child-sized robots moved clumsily amid collisions and slips, while others managed to maintain their balance and complete relays successfully.
The Unitree H1 model was the star of the show on the track: it completed the 1.500 meters in just over six and a half minutes and displayed a top speed close to 4,8 m/s, figures that, without competing with elite human speeds, clearly surpass many non-professional runners.
The tournament was mostly teleoperated : the robots followed the orders of their operators, which explains both the comical scenes and specific incidents, such as the unintentional collision of a technician during a control change next to the H1, which was just an anecdote on a very busy track.
The event drew nearly 300 teams , with delegations from 16 countries and a strong showing from Chinese manufacturers. Unitree took home a significant haul of medals in athletics events, solidifying its position among the humanoid elite.
A state roadmap after the show
The event was more than just about sports : China used it to showcase a strategy that combines regulation, funding, and adoption targets. Under the sector's 14th five-year plan, the goal is sustained growth exceeding 20% and the implementation of national standards covering perception, motion control, and task planning.
