Release schedule and key dates

Premieres on Atresplayer

The first major title to premiere will be Mar Afuera (September 14) , the Spanish adaptation of the hit series Mare Fuori. Starring Gabriel Guevara, Hugo Welzel, and Laura Simón, the series tackles social issues that transcend crime—motherhood, toxic relationships, mental health—and follows the lives of young people in a juvenile detention center. The season consists of eight episodes of approximately 50 minutes each and was filmed in Alicante and Madrid.

On September 7th at 20:00 PM, the traditional Meet the Queens of Drag Race Spain will air , a prelude to its fifth season, which premieres on September 28th with Supremme de Luxe as host and Javier Calvo, Javier Ambrossi, and Ana Locking on the judging panel. This year, the format expands with a €50.000 prize and more changes to its format. After each episode, Ana Locking will interview the eliminated contestant on Tras la carrera (After the Race ), and Samantha Ballentines will continue to host the companion program Sí lo digo (Yes, I'll Say It ).

October will bring La Ruta. Vol. 2: Ibiza , a continuation of one of the most acclaimed series of recent years (recognized with an Ondas Award and three Feroz Awards). Joining the cast are Carla Díaz, Marina Salas, and Irene Escolar , along with protagonist Àlex Monner, to explore a new musical chapter with Ibiza as the backdrop.

This November, Atresplayer will exclusively premiere The Maid's Daughters , an adaptation of the novel by Sonsoles Ónega (winner of the 2023 Planeta Prize), with eight 50-minute episodes . Set between a Galician manor house and early 20th-century colonial Cuba, it explores forbidden passions, betrayals, and class struggle, starring Verónica Sánchez, Carlota Baró, and Alain Hernández.

New projects and returns on the horizon

Original productions on Atresplayer

Among the productions currently underway is La Nena , a loose adaptation of the third novel in Carmen Mola's universe, which follows the success of La novia gitana and La red púrpura . The project features Nerea Barros, Lucía Martín Abelló, and Ignacio Montes , among other cast members.

Also arriving is 33 Days , a series by Carles Porta inspired by the real-life escape of two prisoners in Lleida. The thriller, starring José Manuel Poga and Julián Villagrán , follows an intense manhunt by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) in six high-tension episodes.

In the style of surreal comedy, Rafaela and her crazy world adapts The Amazing World of Rafaella Mozarella with Ingrid García-Jonsson, Carlos Areces, Aníbal Gómez and Joaquín Reyes , opening a universe where the delirious sets the tone of the plot.

The platform will also strengthen its established brands with new batches of Entre tierras (second season), Los Protegidos: un nuevo poder and more episodes of FoQ: La Nueva Generación , which has connected especially with young audiences.

So far this year, atresplayer has added variety to its catalog with fiction and non-fiction: titles such as FoQ: La Nueva Generación, Mariliendre, A muerte, El gran salto or Perdiendo el juicio , along with documentaries and entertainment such as Érase una vez en Marbella and Más de Mariliendre , demonstrate this breadth of genres.
