In addition to close airports, and produce the occasional altercation, the beautiful part of drones is that they allow us to see the world from the perspective most desired by man: that of a bird's eye view. That vision allows us to see the world in an incredible way, and now that many models have high-level cameras, the photographic results can be spectacular, such as those presented in the skypixel contest.
SkyPixel Contest 2018
Hosted by the famous quadcopter manufacturer, Skypixel is a community where users of the brand's drones can upload and share photos and videos taken with their aircraft. It is such an active community that there is even an annual contest with which to choose the best photos and videos of the year, something that has been announced today with the jury's decision.
The awards are divided into several categories within the video and photo modalities. In the video, for example, we will find the categories of City, Nature, Creativity, Sport and Travel; while in the photo there will be four, being Nature, Fun, Architecture and Sports. The videos submitted had to include at least 30 seconds of aerial content (yes, recording with other types of devices was allowed), while the photos had to always be taken from a drone, with a minimum resolution of 300 pixels per inch and at less than 3 MB in weight.
In addition to the first, second and third prize, the organization will also reward two projects as absolute winners for the best overall work in video and photography, whose prizes have been a drone and a Hasseblad camera respectively worth more than 10.000 euros each.
