Since Fujifilm launched its X100, the following generations of this peculiar compact camera have been perfecting a product that has gone from being a specific niche to becoming an object of extreme desire. On the one hand, its excellent performance and size make it a camera to always carry with you, and the virality achieved on social networks crowned it. Well, with the X100VI Its sixth generation has arrived, and it looks incredible.
Fujifilm X100VI, the camera you will always carry

They say that the best camera is the one you can always carry with you, and that is why mobile phones have convinced users so much with their capabilities and portability. But anyone who understands photography knows that there's nothing like a dedicated camera to get the best performance, and that's when the ghosts of portability reappear.
That is why Fujifilm's X100 range has been so popular, because we are faced with a small camera, of excellent quality and construction that allows you to take photos with astonishing quality, and now with the new generation, it raises the possibilities to a new level.
No apparent changes compared to the X100V

It is true that at first it seems that we are looking at the same camera that currently existed in stores. And the X100V has given incredible performance, with the peculiarity that it was very difficult to get one in stores due to its demand and limited availability. The latter could have been solved, since the brand has moved his manufacturing from Japan to China, a place where they can probably give life to many more units more quickly.
Aesthetically, the same style is repeated again, something they do well taking into account the excellent construction and that stylish retro air that has been liked so much by the public. The difference is a couple of millimeters thicker, something that is due to a new addition.
New sensor with integrated stabilizer

For the first time on an X100, this new X100VI includes a 5-axis IBIS stabilizer in the body capable of offering up to 6 stops of compensation, allowing you to take photos and videos without shaking at fairly long exposure times, since we could take a photo with an exposure time of 1 second and achieve completely sharp results.
The new 40,2 megapixel APS-C sensor (inherited from its sister the H2) will allow for greater resolution in the images, where in the first tests it has proven to be much sharper than the X100V. This also allows it to offer 20 and 10 megapixel crop modes with which to obtain simulated 1,4x and 2x zooms. Also noteworthy is the incorporation of a integrated ND filter, the possibility of recording in format 6K at 30 images per second, the presence of the hybrid electronic viewfinder, or the ever-present film simulation functionality with which to achieve different developing effects (a total of 20 available).
Official price and release date

This new Fujifilm X100VI will have an official price of 1.799 Euros when it goes on sale next 28 March. This is a high price that characterizes this type of high-end compact cameras, which despite having a fixed focal length, offer quite surprising quality and performance. Will it continue to sell out just as fast?
