We sense that GoPro should present the new GoPro Hero 13 Black coming soon, but we had forgotten that the brand could also launch a more compact model in the same way that happened a couple of generations ago. Luckily, Amazon has missed some images, and now we can know that this year there will also be a version without a front screen.
New GoPro Hero
With the name GoPro Hero, this model forgets the numerical reference to present itself as the basic GoPro. This is an action camera without a front camera, since it has been replaced by a large heatsink that will calm the internal temperature of the camera. We do not know the technical specifications, but there is talk of 4K resolution and some accessories have been seen such as the protection cover or the buoyancy cover.
Taking into account that the last compact model was the Hero 11 Mini, we will have to see what exactly this version offers and why they have waited 2 years to launch it. Will they be able to offer a really attractive price compared to the Black version?

The older sister, for her part, prepares quite interesting accessories, such as the macro photography lens, the already known Ultra Wide or a very interesting magnetic mount which would confirm the presence of a magnetic system similar to the one we can find in the DJI action camera. It remains to be seen if the magnetic mount will be the default option, but looking at the official images it can be seen that the integrated and foldable mount will still be present.
The leaked images correspond to the promotional images of the macro lens, and thanks to them we can see a slotted front as a heatsink that is located next to the front screen. For the rest, the aesthetic plan remains identical to the previous generation, and we did not find major changes in this regard, so everything indicates that it will be the same GoPro as always, but without blue specks.
Regarding the long-awaited one-inch sensor, the mystery remains unsolved, so we will continue waiting until we find official confirmation and see how far the new camera is capable of going. There are also no changes to the rear screen, which will continue to maintain the bezel of the previous model, and will not have a screen with thin frames as has been rumored so many times.
When can they be purchased?
According to the product sheet that appeared on Amazon (it has already been removed), the new cameras had established the September 16 as a release date, so we would be exactly one month away from its release. Many things remain to be known, but it seems that we are already clearing up some doubts that were still in the air, although the doubt about the one-inch sensor remains unsolved, and something tells us that this year it won't be possible either.
