It would be impossible not to recognize a camera like the One X from Insta360. Vertically cut and with a camera on each side, this small 360 camera is capable of capturing everything that surrounds it, but the manufacturer wants more, and that is why it has presented the new ONE X2. The news? They are the following.
A camera for more than one dip

Now, yes. Insta360's 360-degree camera is finally aquatic, as it offers a rugged body with IPX8 certification with which to be able to submerge up to 10 meters without a housing. This is the main tangible change, since aesthetically the camera is somewhat rougher and not as slim as the first generation, but it is still just as comfortable in the hand.

And of course, another great aesthetic change is its front screen. Now we will be able to see a preview of everything that the camera captures, including its peculiar 360-degree view, since a circular screen will offer us a total perspective of the two cameras with which to see exactly what we are recording.
Much more technically powerful

But if we really wanted important changes, for that we have to go to the technical specifications. For example, the battery, which is now of greater capacity, reaching 1.630 mAh with which to be able to record for 80 minutes. This increase in capacity is due to the use of a new large battery, which is kept perfectly protected with a lid with sealing gaskets to prevent the entry of water and dust.
In addition, this ONE X2 includes four microphones with which to obtain a sound recording without a dead angle, so that, when recording in 360 degrees, we have sound information from all angles. And, as if that were not enough, with the help of an algorithm, the wind is reduced or the ambisonic mode is activated to obtain a totally immersive experience.
Many modes for the best shot

The camera software will now offer a large number of recording modes with which to obtain incredible results depending on the scene. With the PureShot mode we will improve the dynamic range in low light scenes, TimeShift will allow you to make hyperlapses in 360 degrees and Steady Cam and even an intelligent mode controlled by artificial intelligence, will take care of finding the best angle, giving you reframed videos with the highlights from the scene.
Basically, the incorporation of artificial intelligence and the 360-degree coverage of the lenses will allow us to forget about the frame, since the camera will also be able to follow objects, people and animals thanks to the Deep Track algorithm.
How much does it cost?

This new Insta360 ONE X2 can be purchased from today through the manufacturer's website at a price of 489,99 Euros, being able to expand the selection with a large number of available accessories, such as a rubber protector for the lenses (quite useful) or the famous Bullet Time cable to get amazing slow motion shots.
