Firms continue to try to gain a foothold in the smartwatch market and they don't even need to be technological. It is the case of Puma, a well-known sportswear brand, which has decided to partner with the Fossil Group (who does have experience in the world) to launch his first smartwatch.
The PUMA Smartwatch wants to dress the wrist of its followers
We suppose that it was a matter of time before a brand like Puma launched into the shoe market. Smart watches. It is true that the segment continues to be monopolized to a large extent by the Apple Watch and that many firms have fallen by the wayside in their idea of dealing with it, however, the company has decided to ally itself with at least one company that knows about the subject. , thus trying to offer a rounder and more complete product.
We are talking about the Fossil Groups, with which Puma has teamed up - they have been working on the project for a year - to announce their new smartwatch of the same name. The device, yes, is not another model; is specially designed for its followers, that is, people sportsman, who want to wear it as well as use it when practicing sports.
For this, the smartwatch has ultralight aluminum case and a 44mm textured silicone strap that ensures good grip while being breathable (perfect when you're sweating). It has all the typical and usual qualities that are sought in a smartwatch today: it has a heart rate monitor, integrated GPS so you don't have to depend on your mobile phone, NFC to make payments (through Google Play), it synchronizes with your phone to receive its notifications and controls your daily activity (besides sports routines, of course). It is also waterproof -we do not know how deep it supports-, so you can use it for swimming training.

Everything is controlled, as you are already imagining, by Wear OS, Google's smartwatch operating system, with the help of a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor and a battery about which we have no information about its capacity but that supports fast charging -in any case, given what we've seen so far, don't expect Big surprises in this regard. As for its screen, we are talking about a 1,19-inch panel of type AMOLED.
The activities and physical control will be managed through the well-known Google Fit app (which you can also, of course, consult on your phone). You will also have on hand Google Assistant, thanks to the wearable's built-in microphone, as well as various compatible apps, such as Spotify to control music playback.

As you will be looking at the watch, in principle it does not offer anything that we have not already seen, so it will be a matter of whether you prefer Wear OS and you like the designs that Puma has prepared for its smartwatch.
Price and availability of the Puma smartwatch
Puma's smartwatch announcement comes today to coincide with the IFA Berlin technology fair. The firm has moved there for its coming-out, thus also allowing all those interested to know its cost and availability.
If nothing fails, we should see the smartwatch in its stores (both online and physical) in the month of November, at a cost of $275 (about 248 euros to change). You have it in three colors: black, white and yellow.
