When it comes to talking about Apple, there is a person outside the organization chart of the company who is usually right with his predictions, and that person is none other than Mark Gurman. The publisher of Bloomberg has come to the fore again, and on this occasion, instead of talking about the future iphone or the novelties that could include a future MacBook, has decided to talk about a completely different product: Apple's augmented reality glasses.

According to Gurman himself, Apple aims to present at the 2020 his augmented reality glasses, a product that, according to him, will be responsible for introducing a new element in consumer electronics capable of, attentively, replacing the iPhone in the future. These glasses would try to cover a gap in the market that Google Glass Google did not come to dominate, and for this it will use holographic screens that will project the image and the texts on the crystals, so that we can continue to see the environment that surrounds us without having to choose between the information or the real world.
As always, Apple will introduce this new product in an evolutionary way, since these glasses would be a complement to the iPhone, the device to which it would be permanently linked to obtain data and notifications. But there is more, the next iPhone is expected to include 5G connectivity and, in addition, that its cameras include a new 3D scanning that allows experimenting with augmented reality in a more real and precise way.
Thanks to this feature, users and the industry will have the perfect tool to generate augmented reality content, something that will come in handy when it comes to selling and using the new glasses. And that's where Apple would be connecting the dots. These glasses would have their own app store in the same way that it happens with the Apple TV and the Apple Watch, a series of add-ons that would allow you in the future to gain complete independence from the iPhone. This independence will obviously not be immediate, and will depend on the evolution that networks undergo with 5G, a key element for the birth of this type of device.
Apple will not be the only one that tends to bet on this type of wearable devices, however, seen what has been seen, it does seem that it will be the most futuristic and differential. Amazon recently introduced glasses with Alexa built in (plus a ring), and Google, since the cancellation of Google Glass, seems to be focused on other things. Oh yes, and we also have Snapchat with the Spectacles, although these glasses are limited to capturing photos and videos to upload them to the network.
