A refresh of Apple's laptops could be on the horizon, as the company has registered seven new models with the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission). This is a common move before a launch, so could we see new MacBooks, MacBook Airs, or MacBook Pros soon?
New Apple laptops

Described as "portable," the new models Apple has registered are: A2141, A2147, A2158, A2159, A2179, A2182, and A2251. These seven devices could potentially be compatible with virtually any MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro model. Knowing exactly which one it will be is difficult, but looking at their respective latest updates can provide some clues.
The 12-inch MacBook hasn't been updated since June 2017. A processor upgrade would certainly be welcome, but we imagine the main change would be the keyboard . This model uses the second-generation butterfly mechanism, and given the issues that have arisen , replacing it with the third-generation mechanism and the latest material modifications would be the logical next step.

The MacBook Air, meanwhile, was updated in October 2018 , and while it's not out of the question, it's less likely we'll see any new features. The only exception, again, would be a keyboard change to avoid future inconveniences for its users, which could be included in both the Retina and standard versions, the latter of which is still on sale.
Finally, the model that needs it most: the 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar. Here, there are more than enough reasons to refresh a model that's not at all competitive. For starters, this 13-inch Pro model ceased to be appealing the moment Apple introduced quad-core processors to the models with the Touch Bar.

While it is true that the differences between Intel's seventh and eighth-generation micros are not very pronounced, what was inexplicable is that a model with the last name Pro would mount a two-core micro. In the middle of 2019, maintaining that configuration, when there are already teams with ninth-generation CPUs with more cores, makes no sense.
Therefore, updating the processor of these computers, improving the integrated graphics by the way and including the new keyboard, would be the minimum that Apple should do in this next renewal. An update that could arrive in two or three months and in a "silent" way, with a fast opening and closing of the store.
Still remains for the redesign of the MacBook Pro

If you follow Apple news, you'll know there are rumors about a redesign of the MacBook Pro line . The larger model would feature a nearly bezel-less front and a 16-inch screen, all while maintaining similar dimensions to the current 15-inch model. Well, that new MacBook Pro is still a ways off.

Of course, none of this is confirmed information, but knowing that the Mac Pro launch is coming up, along with the new iPhones in September and new services like Apple Arcade, it's reasonable to think that we won't see a possible refresh until March or June of 2020.
So, if you're interested in that renewal, you'll have to wait a little longer, but for a refresh in your laptop offer, it may not be so much. Maybe in two or three months, which is the time that has passed on other occasions when something like this has happened, you could have new laptops. Another thing is that due to characteristics and price they can continue without convincing you too much.
We can't do anything about that. But, at least, you're going to get a computer with a keyboard that should avoid all the problems and criticism received. Although putting him in his current replacement program continues, for some, to be a symptom of mistrust.
