Honor has launched a new version of its MagicBook laptop , a Pro model that includes attractive features considering its price. If you're looking for a laptop for the new school year, pay attention.

When Huawei presented its first laptops, it did very well. They were well finished teams and despite some details they were at a high level. For this reason, seeing the good reception and how the brand was growing, it was logical that sooner or later Honor would do the same.
Last year we saw their first laptop, and now we have the new Honor MagicBook Pro , a device that incorporates one of the first 16.1” screens without increasing its overall size. The trick? Better use of the front panel. But let's take a look at the complete device.
Physically it is a device with quite straight lines, this gives it an elegant and sober style. In addition, on the outside the Honor logo is visible but it is placed more than correctly. Made of aluminum, to better appreciate its design some images.
With dimensions that are very well-suited to its screen size, another interesting feature is its weight of only 1,7 kg. It's not as light as the LG Gram or the Huawei MateBook we've already discussed, but carrying it around all day won't be a problem.

Moving on to the hardware specifications, the MagicBook features an 8th-generation Intel Core processor and two memory configurations, allowing for either 8 or 16 GB of RAM . There are also two storage options: a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD; and two processor choices. The Intel Core i5-8265U or i7-8565U, paired with the Nvidia GeForce MX250 (2 GB GDDR5), will provide all the necessary power for a wide range of tasks, from office applications to photo editing.
In terms of operating system, it will include Windows 10 and MagicLink 2.0 , Honor's "AirDrop" which is the same implementation that Honor uses with its devices to quickly share information between phones and laptops.
For the rest, with Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi ac, three USB 3.0 ports, headphone connection, a USB C port and HDMI output. Oh, and the webcam repeats with that design that allows it to be hidden in the keyboard itself.
The Honor MagicBook is expected to cost around €800-900 . We'll have to see what kind of price increase might apply due to taxes when it's officially released. Even so, at that price and considering its features, it's not bad at all.
Incidentally, regarding sound, the Honor laptop is said to feature Dolby Atmos technology to enhance the surround sound experience. This is at least the theory; we'll have to test how well it performs, just like with the rest of the components. And yes, it also has a fingerprint reader in the upper right corner.
