One of the most beloved versions of the iPad could be making a comeback. The "miniature" version of Apple's tablet hasn't received an update since the fourth generation was released in 2015, but that could all change with a new release this year. Will we see an iPad mini in 2019 ? It certainly seems so.
The new fifth generation iPad mini would arrive in a few months

Rumors about this new version come through Digitimes, who has received some information close to the distributors that usually supply the screens to Apple. Apparently, these companies are expected to receive a generous order of touch screens, panels that would give life to two new iPad models, a Mini and another low-priced iPad that would mount a 10-inch screen with fairly reduced bezels.
The information clashes a bit with previous rumors, since until now it had been said that Apple had no intention of launching a new iPad mini, however, a case manufacturer revealed the supposed design of the smaller model characterized by a new placement of the camera.
The fourth generation iPad Mini is a product that is already 3 and a half years old, and until today Apple has limited itself to updating its storage options and its price.
We will also have a new cheap iPad

Another clue dropped by distributors is that the screen requests seem to mention a 10-inch panel, a size that would update the classic 9,7-inch model thanks to reduced bezels, similar to the iPad Pro . This addition would give a new boost to Apple's tablet family, offering a good size at a fairly affordable price, which, combined with the reduced bezel design, could make it one of the most attractive options on the market.
The rumors point so fine, that there is even talk that those in charge of supplying the screens would be GIS (which would offer 60% of the production) and the Chinese TPK and O-Film (which would be in charge of the remaining 40%). The dates that are being talked about revolve around the middle of the year, so in principle the launch of these new models would not coincide with the month of March, the date on which Apple normally makes this type of launch.
