PlayStation has officially announced that the PS VR2 will finally be compatible with PCs thanks to a new adapter. This adapter will allow you to connect the headset to a PC with a DisplayPort, enabling you to play all the virtual reality games in your Steam library. However, the headset won't offer all the features currently available on the PS5, as many will remain exclusive to Sony's hardware.
PS VR2 on PC, but with limitations
As always, your PC's hardware configuration will determine the performance limits of virtual reality games. PlayStation recommends a system with at least a Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, as well as 8 GB of RAM or more and at least an NVIDIA GeForce 1650, RTX series, or AMD Radeon 550XT graphics card (though they recommend something more powerful).
But even with an extremely powerful PC, the PlayStation 5 headset won't function the same as on the PS5 . When you connect the headset to a PC, it won't offer HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, or haptic feedback. All of those features will remain exclusive to the PS5, as, according to the manufacturer, they were designed and developed specifically for the console's hardware.

Despite this, the headset will offer 2.000 x 2.040 pixels per eye resolution, a 110-degree field of view, touch detection and an outdoor viewing mode, focus point rendering (without eye tracking on PC, of ​​course), and 3D audio. It's confirmed that the best system for playing with the headset is on the PS5 itself, but anyone who wants to get the most out of their purchase will be able to connect it to their PC starting August 7th, provided they purchase the €59,99 adapter separately.

PS VR2 will be compatible with any virtual reality game available on Steam, so you'll just need to browse the category in the online store and take a look at the extensive catalog currently available.
