Xiaomi already has its first smart watch: this is the Mi Watch

Xiaomi Mi Watch

After being rumored and leaked for several weeks, today was the day that I finally Xiaomi has presented its long-awaited smart watch, the new We Watch. With an appearance that will remind you of a certain apple watch, this Mi Watch is presented as the most complete option on the market at the best price.

Xiaomi's first smartwatch?

Xiaomi Mi Watch

Yes, so far we have seen many watches belonging to the brand, but they were still models belonging to Amazfit, a brand in which Xiaomi invests. Today's launch is something completely different, since it is a product that comes directly with the Xiaomi stamp, so we will most likely see it in Spain in official stores.

The Mi Watch is a smartwatch based on WearOS with a MIUI layer that comes to offer much of what we can find in other smart watches on the market, especially when compared to the Apple Watch. And it is that the Apple watch seems to have been the source of inspiration with which to give life to the device. With a slightly rectangular body, the Mi Watch mounts a 1,78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 326 pixels per inch that is protected with a sapphire crystal in the case of the exclusive edition.

Like the Apple model, a rotating crown will help us navigate through the system menu, as well as a confirmation button that will have multiple functions depending on the screen we are on. At the level of internal components, a Snapdragon Wear 3100 4G will be in charge of managing everything with four Cortex A7 cores at 1,2 GHz, thus being the first smartwatch to mount said processor with 4G connectivity. It incorporates a speaker, microphone, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS and NFC. Anything else? Yes, eSIM support to be able to make calls.

As for the battery, Xiaomi has surprised by including a battery of 570 mAh, a capacity with which 36 hours of standby time or 2 days of use are supposedly achieved with a single charge (according to official data). It is a figure that is not bad at all considering the features of the watch, since to the classic fitness functions that we found in the Mi Band, now we will have to add a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, sleep monitoring , etc.

How much does the Xiaomi Mi Watch cost?

This smartwatch with such interesting features has a higher price than what we are used to finding in Xiaomi's range of wearables, however, it is still an incredible price if we compare it with the rest of the options on the market. The Xiaomi Mi Watch has an official price of 1.299 yuan in China (about 175 euros), a spectacular price for everything it offers.

At the moment the watch will be launched in China on November 11 (although it can be reserved from today), so we'll see if the brand gives us details about a possible launch in Spain.
