And there they go again. AYANEO has presented yet another new console model with which to continue increasing its endless catalog of portable consoles. On this occasion, the Pocket EVO, is a 7-inch device that aims to find a balance between a generous-inch device with an affordable price to attract much more attention.

The new console presents itself. With a 7-inch OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, the device wants to offer an almost limitless gaming experience, with a 8.000 mAh battery (apparently it will have more capacity, but the manufacturer has not specified how much) and the processor SnapDragon G3x Gen 2. This means that we will enjoy an operating system based on Android with AYANEO interface, as well as a quite interesting catalog of games, among which emulators and streaming game tools will mainly stand out.

The manufacturing quality continues to be fantastic, with lines very similar to the AYANEO 2S, but with the difference of not mounting AMD processors. This should be immediately reflected in the launch price, however, the manufacturer continues to maintain its strategy of breaking up the launch with several announcements, and the one that includes the price will occur later when the console reaches the financing phase on Indiegogo.

The layout of the buttons keeps the left stick at the top, while the right stick goes down below, an organization that more and more players demand due to comfort. Especially when the sticks are Hall type like the ones included in this model, with great precision and no dead center.

Differences with the AYANEO Pocket S

The Pocket EVO is one more leap from the recently presented Pocket S, and although they are apparently aesthetic, there are quite a few changes that are presented with this new version. To begin with, the screen goes from 6 to 7 inches, and analog sticks are full size, finally forgetting the small models.

The change in the battery is much more spectacular, going from 6.000 mAh to more than 8.000 mAh that the Pocket EVO will have. Both are very similar devices, but if you were looking for a good price with a larger size, the Pocket EVO is the console you were looking for. On the other hand, the Pocket S is simply the most comfortable to carry, but not the most comfortable to play, due to the size of its sticks and the absence of grip handles.

How much does it cost?

AYANEO has not yet given details of what price this new console will have, so we will have to continue waiting a few more weeks until they give the final price. Taking into account that the Pocket S was launched on Indiegogo for 370 euros (the best possible offer), we imagine that the Pocket EVO will be around 450-500 euros. We'll see if we're right.
